Hi all. Thanks for the handoff, Zero. I'll gladly take the proverbial baton. It's my turn (Ilene) to fill the rest of the time Heartbrknbard is sunning on vacation. If I didn't know better, I'd think I was in the same neck of the woods as Zero. It rained just about all day for the last two days, when I was home!! Then, I go back to work and, you guess it, it was sunny today!! At least it was a day without wet dogs. On with the update.

  Lord what a long day. It's a bank holiday weekend here in the UK and today was Topsham Town Fayre and carnival procession. There's always a street party afterwards. Lots of fun but it does make for a long day and a late night. Pipe band, brass band, carnival queen, majorettes, town criers - Britain at its most quaint!! Hope you're all having a grand weekend too.   Hi all. Anyone else out there pet owners? Specifically dog owners? Ever notice how they seem to have a kind of sixth sense when you're not feeling well? I have my dog and my neighbor's dog keeping me company during the day and they have been sticking to me like glue since I had the surgery. Of course, that means half the time they are in my way.   Hi all. Ilene here, again, with some sad news, which was posted on AUSXIP yesterday: It is with great sadness that I inform you of the passing of Linda Osborne AKA Lynka. She succumbed to cancer Tues. August 8, 2006. She leaves behind her partner of over 25 years, Kathy. Lynka loved the Xenaverse so much she started a web page for the writers of fan fiction and other enthusiasts of the show. That webpage, Amazon Trails, was her "baby" for many years. Her health had been deteriorating for some time, but Linda never gave up or stopped fighting. She exemplified the warrior she believed was in every woman.

  Heartbrkn Here now.So sad when Xenites pass away. So sad when anyone passes away so young. Well here is to a good weekend everyone

  Ok I really need a vacation. Like in the worse way. Work is soo kicking my butt. Ok I have a question for everyone, totally off topic, but hey I am allowed to do that!!!

  Ok here goes: You date someone, about 5 or 6 months, get close fast(we all know how we try not to let that happen but it doesn't work), but have many issues in that time. Like the other person still finding themselves being new to the lifestyle, not sure if they are ready, still not fully divorced, etc.. And you- ready willing and able so go into head first and get disappointed that the feeling and actions are not responded to right away, so when they are ready you push them away unintentionally.So you break up cause of lies and deceit, and scared to admit you might be 'in' love. You then come to find out they are with someone new within 2 weeks of the breakup. Do you 1) believe they ever really loved you like they say they did? 2)Find yourself wanting to try again even though you know there were many many mistakes made by both parties? how do you handle it? 3) How do you stop thinking of holding,kissing, laughing, dancing, staring, watching and dreaming of them? Do you have to think of the bad things to move on in life? Do you let fate take over and now if there was really 'love' it will bring you both back together and you fix the mistakes you had before? Does anyone really have any answers? Sorry to ramble, just thoughts on my mind. Need to write more of my story soon.
